Course Description

Course Description:

The  Dental Technician & Hygiene course aims to provide students with the essential knowledge and skills in the fields of dental technology, dental hygiene, and patient care. This course offers both theoretical and practical education in dental techniques, infection control, dental laboratory procedures, and patient care. Students are trained in teeth cleaning, dental materials, assisting in various dental procedures, and infection control techniques. Additionally, this course familiarizes students with dental equipment and its maintenance, radiography, and imaging techniques.

Course Structure:

This course is divided into four semesters, with each semester including both theory and practical components.

  • First Semester: Students are introduced to dental technology, human anatomy, basic principles of dental hygiene, and infection control.

  • Second Semester: Focus is placed on clinical dental hygiene, dental prosthetics (crowns and bridges), radiography and imaging techniques, and pediatric dentistry.

  • Third and Fourth Semesters: Advanced training is provided in dental hygiene, orthodontics, periodontics, dental laboratory techniques, and dental diseases. Additionally, students gain practical experience through internships and project work.

This course is designed to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge in dental care, hygiene, and patient management, preparing them for a career in the dental field.
