The Certificate in HMC (Horizontal Machining Center) Programming and Operation is a specialized skill development course that focuses on training students in the programming, setup, and operation of HMC machines. These are advanced CNC-controlled horizontal milling machines widely used in the automobile, aerospace, defense, and heavy manufacturing industries.
This course equips learners with in-depth knowledge of machine axes, G-code/M-code programming, fixture designing, tool path optimization, and multi-face machining techniques. Students will also get hands-on training with actual HMC machines or through CNC simulators, enabling them to understand both theoretical concepts and real-time machining processes.
To introduce the structure and working of Horizontal Machining Centers
To develop skills in CNC programming for HMC machines
To train in fixture setup, tool management, and job zeroing
To ensure safety and error-free operation in complex machining jobs
To prepare students for high-precision industrial production roles
3 to 6 Months (Full-time or part-time format)
Includes classroom learning, hands-on practice, and machine simulation
Minimum: 10th Pass
Preferred: ITI / Diploma (Mechanical / Production / Fitter)
Age: 16 years and above
Prior CNC knowledge is helpful, but not mandatory
