Duration- 6 Months
Instruments & Tools, Drawing, VMC Theory, VMC programming (Co-ordinate), VMC programming (Practical)
The Certificate in VMC Programming and Operation is a short-term technical training program designed to equip learners with the skills required to operate and program Vertical Machining Centers (VMCs). VMCs are widely used in modern industries for high-precision component manufacturing using computer-controlled milling operations.
This course introduces students to the basic concepts of CNC machining, with a specialized focus on VMC operations, tool path generation, G-code & M-code programming, machine setup, and job execution. Through practical workshop training and machine simulation, students gain real-time experience that meets industry standards.
The course is ideal for beginners, ITI/diploma students, or working professionals aiming to enter or grow in the manufacturing and machining sector.
To provide foundational understanding of Vertical Machining Centers
To train students in VMC programming using G-codes and M-codes
To develop competency in machine setup, tooling, and fixturing
To ensure knowledge of workpiece zeroing, offsets, and machining cycles
To follow industry safety protocols and maintenance practices
