The Advanced Certificate in Cardiac Care Technician (ACCCT) is a six-month skill-based program designed to prepare students for real-world support roles in cardiac departments of hospitals and clinics. It offers a deeper understanding of the cardiovascular system, ECG interpretation, cardiac medications, emergency interventions, and patient care under cardiac conditions.
Students receive hands-on training in operating ECG and monitoring machines, assisting in stress tests, recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias, and supporting physicians during cardiac emergencies. This course emphasizes infection control, emergency response, and soft skills needed for effective communication with patients and healthcare teams.
By the end of the course, students are capable of taking vital signs, preparing patients for cardiac investigations, and assisting in cardiac life support scenarios.
