The Certificate in ECG Technology is a 1-year paramedical certificate program designed to train students in the fundamentals of Electrocardiography (ECG) — a critical diagnostic tool used in modern healthcare to monitor and evaluate heart health.
This course equips students with essential knowledge of cardiac anatomy, electrical conduction of the heart, and the technical skills required to operate ECG machines. It also focuses on patient care, electrode placement, ECG reading basics, and clinical protocols in hospitals and diagnostic centers.
The course includes hands-on training, real-time ECG testing, and interpretation under clinical supervision to ensure practical competency.
To provide students with knowledge of heart function and electrical activity.
To train students in operating ECG machines and handling reports.
To prepare ECG technicians who can work confidently in clinics, hospitals, ICUs, and diagnostic labs.
To ensure ethical and professional communication with patients during procedures.
