The Operation Theater Technician (OTT) is a comprehensive 2-year paramedical program designed to prepare students to work in the highly specialized environment of operation theaters in hospitals, nursing homes, and surgical units. Operation Theater Technicians play a critical role in assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during surgeries and maintaining the sterile environment essential for successful operations.
This program imparts in-depth knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization procedures, infection control, anesthesia techniques, pre- and post-operative care, and emergency response inside the operation theater. Students will be trained to manage the operation room setup, assist during surgeries, and handle equipment with precision and safety.
To equip students with the skills required for pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care.
To train in handling, sterilizing, and maintaining surgical instruments.
To ensure infection control and OT hygiene protocols are strictly followed.
To prepare students to provide assistance to surgical teams efficiently.
To develop the ability to respond to OT emergencies and support anesthesia administration.
